The library – a place for research and studies

In our library you have access to 14,000 books of which 5000 are in English. In addition, we have databases, newspapers, magazines, journals and encyclopedias in Swedish and in English. Students who are planning to study at a university in the United States or the United Kingdom will find books covering the SAT, CAE and IELTS tests. Of course we also have books that prepare students for the Swedish Scholastic Aptitude Test (Svenska Högskoleprovet).

When we acquire new books, we generally focus on nonfiction that supports our students in their many areas of study. Of course, we also monitor newly published fiction and purchase books in a variety of languages. For additional literature in students’ mother tongue, we highly recommend a visit to the International Library here in Stockholm. Our students and staff are always welcome to make requests for interlibrary loans from universities and other higher education institutions. Most importantly when it comes to new book acquisitions, we encourage and welcome suggestions from our students and staff.

You may choose to sit in the reading room for quiet study or in the section where students can work in groups where talking is allowed. The library staff is happy to help you find books as well as other information that you need for your school projects or for your own pleasure reading.

Library Misson

The library is a knowledge resource center that is aiming to provide the school’s students and staff with high quality information in various formats. We strive to maintain a broad-ranging collection of resources and to proactively supply our users with the most current and cutting edge information. We work together with the school’s teaching staff to develop methods that enhance students’ information retrieval process and to stimulate their curiosity and analytical ability. Our ambition is to contribute to our students’ learning experience by offering a global perspective that prepares them for further studies and for participation in a multicultural and international environment.
